The Climate Underground Conference
October 20 - October 21
Farm Action’s Angela Huffman will join a panel moderated by Al Gore, The Current State of Federal Farm Policy: Successes, Failures, and Pathways to Reform, alongside Zach Ducheneaux of Ducheneaux Family Ranch and farmer Josh Riddle.
The panel will discuss the challenges farmers face today, including rising tariffs, higher energy costs, and worsening climate impacts. As gridlock in Washington has stalled Farm Bill reauthorization, panelists will examine the current state of federal agriculture policy and the prospects for future funding for regenerative and organic farmers. They will also discuss the reforms needed to ease the pressures farmers face today.
