For too long, a handful of global companies have sold imported beef and pork as if it were raised by American farmers—misleading shoppers and undercutting U.S. producers.
Now, we have a rare chance to fix it. The U.S. Trade Representative is reviewing a major trade deal with Mexico and Canada, and this review could restore Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling (MCOOL) for beef and pork traded between our three countries.
Add your voice today: urge trade officials to reinstate MCOOL and put American farmers, ranchers, and consumers first.

As a supporter of America’s farmers and ranchers, I join Farm Action in urging the U.S. Trade Representative to make Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling (MCOOL) for beef and pork a top priority in the Administration’s Joint Review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
For too long, multinational meatpackers have been allowed to pass off imported beef and pork as if it were raised in the U.S. This practice misleads consumers and undercuts American producers.
Reinstating MCOOL would:
Reinstating MCOOL aligns squarely with the Administration’s America First agenda. It will restore trust in the marketplace, protect U.S. producers from unfair competition, and keep more value in rural communities.
Please make reinstating MCOOL a top U.S. trade objective in the USMCA Joint Review.
