Farm Action’s Angela Huffman and Sarah Carden will present, “Town Hall to Farm Bill: Dismantling Big Ag’s Fragile System Propped up by Myths and Hidden Costs.”
Time and time again, farmers, communities, and advocates have tried to shift government support away from industrial agriculture and toward a more resilient and equitable system, and have failed because Big Ag controls the narrative surrounding the agricultural policy debate. In this interactive workshop we will offer tools, planning, and processes to: 1) Call out the hidden costs of industrial agriculture, 2) Dismantle industrial agriculture’s deceptive myths, and 3) Transform the narratives anywhere from town hall meetings to 2023 Farm Bill debates.
