Farm Action Calls on USDA to Strengthen Protections for America’s Poultry Growers

This data is the first piece of Farm Action’s new Food and Agriculture Consolidation Data Hub, which will include an in-depth research report to be published in September.
“We welcome USDA’s steps toward upholding farmers’ rights to hold abusive corporate meatpackers accountable,” said Farm Action’s Sarah Carden.
USDA’s proposed rule helps free poultry growers from poultry companies’ abusive measures of control, Farm Action said.
Farm Action’s Joe Maxwell will draw from the organization’s research to call for the U.S. government to crack down on corporate price gouging.
