Today a national collaborative of rural policy and advocacy organizations released the “2021 Rural Policy Action Report,” which outlines specific investments, policy improvements, and regulatory reforms designed to improve the economy, infrastructure, and equity for diverse rural communities.
Family Farm Action Opposes Growing Climate Solutions Act, Saying It Will Further Consolidate Agribusiness Wealth and Do Little for the Environment
Family Farm Action has come out in opposition to the Growing Climate Solutions Act because it will create more opportunity for agribusiness corporations to consolidate their wealth and political power and offer little incentive for climate-friendly practices.
Today, 33 food and farm groups sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation in support of Lina Kahn’s confirmation as FTC commissioner. The supporting organizations agree that “Khan distinctly realizes addressing concentrated power in agriculture and labor is dire to protect all farmers, ranchers, and workers, especially those who are socially disadvantaged, limited-resource, or smaller-scale.”
